Charlie Cox Debates Whether A PG-13 MCU Daredevil Film Could Work
Actor Charlie Cox, who will reprise the role of Daredevil in the MCU at some point in the future, says when his superhero returns it deserves to be in an R-rated film. Speaking with ComicBook, Cox says even if he doesn’t get his way, he has total faith that Marvel will figure out how to hold onto the character’s brutality and still work if it must be a PG-13 film.
“I wouldn’t put it past the folks at Marvel to be able to accomplish that,” said Cox. “I’m such a fan of everything they’ve done so far, I wouldn’t underestimate them at all. So if they wanted to make a more PG version of Daredevil, I back them to find a way to do it where it feels totally in keeping with everything we’ve done [on the show]. And maybe there’s a little less blood, maybe there’s a little whatever, but I back them to do it.”
